got my electro gauges

I am wondering before doing this conversion, should I contact my DMV or should I just write down the mileage? I do not plan on selling my prelude. I will have put too much time/work/money into it that it wouldn't be worth it. Even if I did end up selling the car, I wouldn't screw the buyer on the mileage. So, should I go ahead and install the guages or?

Write down the mileage of the stock gauge and then the gauge of the El cluster. If and/when you decide to sell the car, there is a section that says if this is the actual mileage of the car. You check "no" on the checkboxes.

else we can trade my stock 93 gauge for the el gauge cluster if you are that worried

150, good god, i have called the DMV here in VA and talked to the leader of odometer fraud, and criminal investigation team. He said the same thing, just when you go to sell it have something signed so they know its not the actual milage. Since out cars are older shoulldn't really affect resale. He also linked me over to some guys that rest odometers, and digital ones too. here in richomond VA. so i might give them a try before i install mine.

Did the wiring also come with the "Dash lights brightness control unit"?

Okay I installed the guages and am having one problem. The turn signal and high beam idicators do not work on the unit. I don't understand why. I replaced the harness and all but those do not work. On the right of the harness, there was a small gray connector with 3 wires going into it. I am not sure if that affects it or not. I thought maybe that is supposed to plug into the fog light harness that runs to the center console. Could be wrong. But does anyone know why my turn signal and high beam indictors are not working?

yes, did u get the whole dash harness? you need to ground the blinkers, if you got an EL harness, there should be a plug at the pass side of the dash, three wires in it, green black strip/black/black white stripe, ground the black one and that will fix your bnlinker problem

Hey thanks for the post on the 4th gen board but, how do you ground the black wire on the dashboard harness. I remember I had a connector that will not connect to anything and I just taped it off.

Did you have the same problem where when you turn your car on, the left turn signal indicator stays on and then after about 5 minutes it will go out?

yeah I think that is what mine does. I am just waiting for a nice weather break so I can ground that black wire.
If it works let me know.

Okay, I figured it out...I had a connector unpluged for one, and I just have to ground the black wire.
