Got my EL cluster in, and have changed the color already!!woohoo

well i got my cluster in, im having a small tach jumping prob on occasion, but im working on that, meanwhile, i wanted them to be deeper blue instead of the greenish color, so i got some transparent Blue material, took the guages apart, lined the pieces up, cut out the material and placed it behind the face, put it all back together and WOW...awesome, now my number and such are a deeper blue, and the needles bright red, looks awesome, as soon as i get a dig cam ill post pics, i took some with a reg cam buy they came out crappy..over all im happy happy, btw my clusters OD reads 11,500 miles, its from a 96..lol,,very nice

If we do a Guage Cluster swap, don't we have to like notify some kind of vehicle association? I wanna do the swap, for the EL guages, but I don't wanna get busted.

you'd be surprised how many people say the same thing but look how many people on this forum have sold their ludes. i mean there are close to 600 threads in the "preludes for sale" forum.

also, one thing that might be a problem is whenever you get your state inspection, they record the mileage. if it shows a rollback and your insurance co. finds out there might be some repercussions... I could be wrong though, maybe they'd never find out unless you sold it.

we dont have state inspections heer, i just go into my tag agency, pay my 50 bucks get my new decal and im on my way, they never even come out and look at the car...but i mean seriously, like i could pass off that my car only has 11k on it..i only posted that cuz usually its the other way around, a ton of miles, just thought it was neat..and about selling the Lude...i ownt he title, and there are tons of things i want to do to it yet, and like i said IF i wanted another car, id just go buy it, i wouldnt sell my lude for it, so i wont be getting rid of it...but either way, today i hope to get pics of the guages for you guys...peace

i called pennsylvania DOT and they told me to write the original cluster's miles AND the first miles on the new cluster all on a sticker and put it on the door jam. protect it somehow from the elements, and alert the inspection tech about it.

thats all they told me to do, so...
