I've for a bad coolant leak on a hose right next to the lower rad hose (near the engine). I believe it's the Heater Inlet Hose, however would like feedback on what is the diameter and size of the hose, since I want to see if i can just get some hose pipe at Schuks and fix it myself. BTW, a friend of mine said it might also be called the cylinder head to heater valve hose...so any help would be appreciated...btw, the engine is a H22A1, if that makes a difference.
once i have a leak in a hose between the throtle and the thermostat, there are some, ppl call them bypass...
check that one that says bypass and near that one.
hope the img could help...
to check... park it in a dry place, wait until the engine is cold... then fill the rad... start the engine and wait until you see where the water comes from...
Thanks....I see where the leak is comming from and based upon my car - 94 Vtec H22A1, it appears it could be the "bypass hose" right next the "lower hose/heater inlet"...I'm going to take it off tomorrow and do the install later.
Problem FIXED! I replaced the hose with a stadard heater hose, although the clips on the ends were a pain to get off, it all works like a dream now. Now I have to clean up the engine bay, since the coolant sprayed everywhere and give her a wash while i'm at it. Thanks for all the help.
Fortuantely for me, aside from the leak, the car is in great shape...although i do her that way. Just re-hauled the entire motor, replaced all the belts, new CVs, new rotors, pads, etc...all in the last 6 months.
