Yo, I just registered to the forums and it's the best 6 bucks I'm gunna spend all year every year . Time to put it to use though, about a month or two ago I finnally got a nice Red 92SI 4WS Prelude. She runs great mechanically, but cosmetically needs some work on the leather on the inside, but I'm workin on that! Being as my entire family has about 4 different families put together, I am getting a compiled amount of 450 bucks to spend on my baby, what do you think I should do to it? I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times, but I've been surfin the forum for about 2 hours now, and I'm ready to get some friggin sleep! So either performance-wise, or cosmetically-wise what do you think the best bang for my buck is?
I've already stuck in an audio system, a nice premier deck with 4 6.5 alpines all the way around, what's next? CAI? Exhaust? Strut bar? Lights? You name it, I'll consider it.
how about join the rest of us with Si 4WS and drop in a jdm h22 ... hehe
but definitely lower the car and start working on basics...
also figure if u want to go GO or SHOW
One More thing.... use search function before posting questions...
other than that, welcome...

Tell you one thing... great way to save money is to look for parts first in the classifieds section. I would start with the basic I/H/E bolt-ons, and then start building it in any other way (suspension, looks, etc...)
go 92 4ws, i would say start with suspension. Its something you always feel, unlike the 5 hp from a cai... Don't get any "pretty" lights, they're for girls

i got a 92 si and it is the love of my life, next to my wife.
body work is cheap. are you gonna get a body kit?
4WS doesn't weigh you down. I have yet to loose to another Si/H23.
I would say your best bet for your first $500 would be some good lowering springs: Eibach, Nuespeed, H&R, not cheapos, these should be around $150 at most, you can go with Ground Control (adjustable spring height, these run low $300-350). If you have some extra money I would put in some new struts along with the springs. I have put over $5K into my Lude and the springs and struts are by far the best mods I did. I'm not sure about you, but I bought a 4ws Prelude for the twisties and the spring strut replacement make3s it all the more fun to loose the pony cars in the twisties.
alrighty i've given it a lot of time and thought, and i've decided to ride the fine line between performance and looks... right now, in the next couples of months i plan to have GC coil overs and KYB AGX adjustables, with tinted windows, a nice AEM cai, and get the sound system down. down the road rims and a new exhaust system (thermal most likely) will be done... here's a pic of her as she is...
i might throw in 50 dollars for some clear corners too, i dunno about a nice pair of 1 piece chrome housing projectors... ill see how it goes. thanks for all the advice guys, i appreciate it!
the main thing is that you make sort of a game plan for your car. what look do you want for it? how long are you realistically gonna have it? spend your money wisely and just enjoy the hell out of your car man!
