Good weekend.. mods completed

Hey.. wel I got my GReddy Header on over the weekend, washed the lude, and finally did that compression check. Along with changing the spark plugs and "recharging" my K&N on my AEM CAI. THe results of the compression check where all cylinders right at 215. SO I was happy with those results... After my afternoon of fiddling with the car, I reset the ECu.. MAN really noticable difference in performance.. THe fresh plugs and filter have something to do with it too I am sure, but the car just seems to run a lot healthier!

I notice I nice butt dyno registered gain from 3500 rpm on up.. the only thing is, when VTEC kicks in, it actually seems a little quieter then before the Greddy header.. is this normal??????

What I do on my 94 vtec is the following;

Disconnect the negative(black) battery cable, then in the underhood fuse panel I pull the radio/clock fuse.

Allow the car to just sit for like 10-20 min

Reconnect the battery wire, plug the radio/clock fuse back in

start car.. DO NOT press the gas just start the car and allow it to idle for about 5-10 min..

turn the car off. Start the car back up again, and go drive the car as hard as possible once it is warmed up....

WIth cars that have the old OBD-I ecu, I think it can make a noticeable difference.. I think that when you do these mods, you flow more air...

Supposedly the ECU when reset will relearn settings based on how much air you are flowing etc.. I am not that sure exactly how it works.. but it's such an easy thing to do, that I guess I figure it can;t hurt and it MIGHT help...
