Good, cheap Suspension setup?

So I'm thinking about having the lude lowered this summer, however I'm not sure what the best setup or the best "bang for the buck" I should go with. I have a budget of about $400 or less. I really wanted to go with Ground Control coilovers due to height adjustability but with brand new shocks the setup will cost me around $500+. The next option I was thinking of was the either the H&R race springs or the Eibach Sportlines with Tokico shocks.

I would really appreciate on which setup I should go with, or just not even bother and leave it stock. Also, if anyone has pics of there setup and could post them that would be great.

Thanks!!

honestly, save the money to put into your suspension. its well worth it to save the extra 1-200 for better spring shock combo.

No such thing as a "good cheap suspension" setup. Do yourself a favour and take your time, save more money and buy a full coilover suspension. You will not regret it at all. I have Tein Super Street Coilovers and love them to death

Dunno what you're looking for specifically, you can try to price my setup. I'm rollin' on KYB AGX struts (which I think alot of people are, they're pretty high quality) and using Skunk2 coilovers. I don't mind the ride, but some people like springs instead. Please don't buy the 19.99$ ebay special though, you'll be kicking yourself later instead of saving money for another few weeks.

im on GC coilovers, with Koni yellows. yes this setup is pretty expensive. but i got my parts at wholesale. sence thats what i do. i like the ride. its better then my Skunk2 with Stock shocks or the Ebiach kit i had.

then agian i do a lot of Auto-X. so i need a setup that can take a lot of abuse on the weekends and be ok for the rest of the week.

Thanks for the responses.

The thing is I think I will be selling the lude next Summer, and because of that I was just trying to see if I could have a decent setup for at least a year before I part it out or sell it as is. I think at this point my best option would to find some used shocks/struts and just get the GC coilovers brand new.

personally if i was sure i was selling my lude next year, i'm not sure if i'd want to install a $400 - $500 suspension set up and worry about part-out the following summer or so.

if you are sticking with the car, i would say save your money for Teins or some other full coilover system. i've had Tein SS on my car for a few weeks now and i can't say enough about how well my car handles than before. it is my first and last suspension setup for this car .

all my friends with seperate spring/shock combos love Koni Yellows.

For the price of koni yellows and coil-overs u can get a decent Tein system or full coil-over system. Also why go through the trouble of spending $ if u kno u will sell ur car soon? Basically you will be wasting $ that you could spend on ur next car.

my koni yellows with the eibach pro-kit are excellent. but like mr. root said don't buy the cheap stuff off of ebay. i've heard good things about kyb, however if you're planning on selling the car then why not save the money to invest into a new car?

I guess I wanted to get a second opinion from fellow luder'z and then decide from there. I'm gonna leave it stock for now and probably spend the money on clothes, food etc. or just save it fort tuition for next semester.

Thanks again guys, I appreciate the advice.x100
