I'm wanting something with a little more speed than my F22a can provide. I am considering the typical H22a engine swap and keeping my car. My other option is selling the Prelude for maybe 5-5.5k and building a Hybrid of some sort. If I go Hybrid, I want to do something a little differnt, not just the typical GSR engine into a Civic.
Current projects under consideration:
Sr20Det into a 240sx
sr20Det into a G20/nx2000/sentra
F20B (Accord Si-R) or B20 (CRV) into a Civic
So, any input? I'd love to hear your opinions and suggetions!!
id scratch the f20b because that thing is the same size as a h22. since you listed it with the b20 it appeared to me you might have thought it weighed around the same as the b20...not the case. f20b is just a destroked h22 im pretty sure.

Yeah, I dont like the Idea of buying a special mount kit to put it in the civic. The main advantage of the F20 (it is just a destroked h22) is the higher redline (9200 if I remember correct)

Yeah, I've thought about that, but again. . .you have to buy a mount kit. Plus a 94+ integra chassis would be realitivley expensive compared to others.
Just throwing out some things. Sorry if their dumb.
I cant afford insurance on an MR2 (maybe the Supra as well)
I was thinking about an older rx-7, but maintainince is a biatch. It would be origional to mod my S motor, but It has 100,000 miles on it and no aftermarket support.

well if you're looking for something with a lot of aftermarket support... it wouldn't be too original, now would it?

DAMN. . .BUSTED!! It's not like I want a one-off custom job, but my financial resources require that little custom labor or fabrication be required. I'm just trying to stay away from a Civic with a B16 or B18 engine. I figure I can throw down about 2K, and sell the lude for about 5-6k, so I've got 7-8k to play with. hmmm.....
Blazer/S-10 with 350?
Does anyone know about the older Subaru car's?
You can't go wrong with a Civic hatch with a CRVTEC My friend has one and he put down over 170hp to the wheels in that light chassis, and he could've done better. It does high 13's on street tires and can pull away from almost anything on the highway.
My brother has a second generation RX-7 that he got for cheap. There is a lot of aftermarket support and although the rotary is considered unreliable, new motors can be had for cheap. He wants to put a supercharger in his.
You can get both of these cars to go pretty fast within your budget, if you do your homework. I agree that your motor will be hard to mod.
