Glow Gauge Install Write-Up

I got home today ready to install the gauges.....it was a little more difficult than i had imagined thanks to the ingenious honda engineers that choose to use 1 inch of wire where about a 2 inches is needed. Anyways, here goes -

First I removed the Tweeter Cover so i could unscrew the black thingy on the top: (you can see my LOVELY Alabama backyard where it was about 80 degrees outside)

Next I used my rigged up scredriver because "normal" scredrivers are too long to fit the screws: here it is:

Next I removed the black thing on the top (about 10 screws, literally) as you can see a screwhole in the pic:

This would be the black thingy I keep referring to, and yes that is my 300ZX:

Here are the gauges in the car:

Here is one of my best friends:

Basically you take the exterior interior pieces off, take the gauges out and make sure to unplug the wires. then take the 5 screws off of the bottom of the cluster, then you carefully take the white piece and the two computer chip looking things off and detach the plastic cover. then you unscrew the 4 screws and place the new gauges on top of the old ones and screw them down. then u get ur 3m double sided sticky stuff and place the bezel (it was silver, i painted it black). you put it back together and make sure to connect the power wire to a place in the fuse box, then you ground the black/red wire somewhere. finish putting everything back together than WOW, you're done. Much easier said than done in my opinion, it just takes a little bit of time.
