Ghetto Fog Switch (92-93 tweeter)

Ok, so as you know our cars are pre-wired for fog lights..

in the future i'll find a pic of a relay and show you what you need .

but for now, if you dont have a fog switch and want your fog lights to turn on every time you headlights go on, as if you had a real switch .. do this :

Very ghetto, some would say but to hell with them. It works.

Take a paperclip and bend it into a horse shoe shape, cut off as much excess as you can and voila :

Just remember to cover it up with electrical tape.

I have the switch... but I dont have the special tweeter cover. I will just have to cut into my stock cover when the time comes.

Would we still need the relay? Or can we just plug the fogs into the bumper harnesses and then close that connection on the tweeter harness?

or you could do what i did. Use the cruise switch, splice the wires to fit. Then just splice the cruise wires together so it's always "on"

he uses the cruise switch for the fogs, and instead of pushing the cruise button to "activate" the cruise system... the wires are spliced together so that it is always activated.

oh i see now, i got confused with his sentence, but i see what was done. kinda smart ! but i wouldnt do it. either way one of the options still ends up switch less, unless you like to control your lights whenever.

i just wanted to add that even if you press the cruise control button... it still won't do anything.. because first you have to set the speed (bottom button on the right side of your steering wheel.. )

Exactly. Which is why I had absolutlely no problem ditching the cruise button. It was useless, I always had it switched on anyway...

yea but what switch ? its one of those ugly little ones that look cheap and ghetto .. I have one that came with the old crappy fogs that were on my car but... meh .. this works just as well ..

Does anything happen power wise if the cruise is switched on while your driving and not using cruise?

I dont understand the implementation of this .. is it like a safety thing so you dont accidently hit the buttons and engage it? (which I would find really damn hard to do)

I guess that's what the switch is for. As far as I know there's no difference with the master switch on or off.

Some of you still don't get it. I can still use my cruise control. I just don't have the master switch. I hit the engage button, and the cruise comes on. I just don't have the master cruise power switch anymore.
