Getting rid of the whole thing. Making a holder would be a PAIN IN THE ASS. Plus having your license plate on a CF trunk would be lame as hell.

No I am producing them myself. That's why I am making a mold of my trunk

They will be for sale shortly.

How much you asking? Would you have to use hood pins to keep it down, or would it work w/ the stock latch & everything?

Is this a one-time-only, forever, type of deal, or, once you have the master mold done, will you be able to make production runs later? I want to see how the first ones turn out, and then I might strongly be considering this, considering the weight of the trunk lid itself.

Thanks,
J

Well I will do them for a while for people that want them, but I won't be making them forever. Molds don't last forever, and it's not like we're a big production shop.

do you think you can make a CF rear lower window trim piece? I want one. I know everyone else that has a 4G and has a rusted piece will buy one too!

What the heck is that? I guess mine isn't rusted so I don't know what you're talking about. Honestly that's not an item I think I would consider making, mean for all the hassle people would want it for like $50. I'd rather sell big ticket items. Can't you just paint this? whatever it is...

My 5th gen’s boot lid has rust around the bottom half of the lock. I have tried sorting it out a couple of times, but the rust keeps on coming back. When I get a body kit (probably OEM), I am gonna get the hole filled in and re-sprayed. I don't use the lock, I either open it from the inside or open it using my Clifford alarm remote control. It will look better and be more secure.

*curious* how much would it cost to reproduce the entire body panelling in carbon fiber and what's the ratio for weight saving : cost

Do you still not have a prelude? And you still paid $6US to post here?
