Getting rid of hyperblinking... how?

I got my front turn signals hooked up to some relays that way my inner signals are like the outer ones, even when the parking lights are on. My lights have been hyper blinking ever since I installed the relays.. at first I didn't mind but now I find it annoying.... the only time they DON'T hyper blink is when I turn on the Hazard lights... then they blink normal. I thought maybe drawing the power for the corner lights would get rid of it.. but I was wrong.. still have the same problem. I just installed some JDM side markers & couldn't figure out how to wire them... so I hook them up to the relays as well.. BUT when ever I turn on the parking lights... the side markers stay on... which I don't like... I just want them to blink & that's it.

I wanna be able to keep the setup I have up front (where the inner ones stay on along with the outer ones) but I don't want the hyper blinking. for the side markers I figured I could just tap into the rear blinkers cuz that's all they do ... is blink.

If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it... thanks!

Using relays underloads the system, so it blinks twice as fast. Use resistors if you know what you're doing, or do it the ghetto way like I did: wire up a couple extra turn signal bulbs to load the system properly again. I just ran wires off of my rear turns to a couple spare bulbs and hid them in the trunk.

Ahh... sounds like a good idea.... what kinda of setup did you use for the extras?? & how many more spare bulbs did you have to run inorder to get it right? If I have the relays in the front... does it matter where I hook up the spares? & finally did you just splice into some exsisting ones??

So maybe if I run the JDM sidemarkers of the rear tails instead of off the relay... this might fix my prob....?

thanks for the help!

All I did was run wires directly out from the 2 rear turn signal bulbs and directly in to 2 spare bulbs. So before, the system was underloaded with 2 real bulbs and 2 relays, and now the system is fine with 4 real bulbs and 2 relays. Hooking up more bulbs to the relays won't change the load on the system. You could try hooking up your JDM sidemarkers to the back but 1) that's a long way to wire and 2) those bulbs are alot smaller than the turn signal bulbs. I just played it safe and replaced the "lost" front turn signals (because of the relays) with the trunk turn signals, so to speak.

Fun side effect: strobe trunk lights!

kinda understand what you are saying... but kinda not hehe. So what you are saying is that if I splice into a bulb wire... the bulb that's getting spliced into has to be the same size as the other one?

Well that made the most sense to me. Using the same sized bulbs would put the same amount of load on the system that had been lost from using the relays. Anyway it's pretty easy to grab a couple wires and experiment, so go see what works for you.
