i am taking it outta my friend's accord....me and him. we have everything disconnected except for the heater hose and the tranny. i believe we have everything disconnected. do you HAVE to disconnect the intermediate shaft and the axels to get just the motor out, he wants to leave the tranny in for right now....

any help?

oh yeah - let me add this - IT'S A HELL OF A LOT EASIER SAID THAN DONE!!!

you can just disconnect the axles from the tranny/intermediate shaft, you dont have to remove them from the knuckles.

It would make things 10X harder to take the engine out without the tranny attached. Just take the whole mess out as an assy. And make sure you drain the tranny fluid BEFORE pulling the axels out. Other wise you have a nice mess all over your face.
