Getting A/C Serviced...

okay, so i just dropped my car off at the honda place to get the air condition serviced. they said it would be $100 for a recharge and to check the whole system to make sure there are no leaks. they also said that in preludes, the control unit sometimes goes bad and they have to repair it. I trust them, they do honest work, but is this true with just preludes?

parts tend to go bad when they are old.

they said that my "control unit" was bad......it works sometimes though! Question - if i found another member with an 'extra' unit, all there is to do is "plug and play" behind the unit in the car, right?

I would think so?

But I wanted to know if you have the old type or the new
and with the recharge is the air alot cooler? Was it worth the
$$$?
