Getting 17" Focal F5 rims..

Anyone know of a good place online to get these rims cheap? Right now I'm on stock rims/tires, am I going to have to change/upgrade anything else along with getting new 17" rims? My friend told me I'd have to change the control arm and other stuff...

I like them in 18" better...makes the spokes look longer and the wheel look huge.

Maybe I don't have to..but are you sure that it won't cause anything like the control arm to wear out faster?

If you lower your car a lot you can wear out your tires faster with out a cambet kit but getting rims does nothing to the control arm.

It must be different with Trans Am's then cause my friend with one told me about the control arm thing along with getting new rims. How much of a difference will there be in loss of speed/gain between 17's and 18's? I understand that getting 17's or 18's will slow me down a bit compared to having the stock wheels. How much will it slow me down?

A little bit, but not enough to offset the gain in cornering and looks that youll get...

I've always liked the Focal F5's, good choice in my opinion...and your friend either was BS'n you or it just happened to his car...*shrug*
