gauges off and sticking

I did the blue gauge conversion last night and now my tach is off about 200 to high and my spedo is kind of sticking. Its not giving an acurate speed reading. I hope I didnt mess up the needles..anyone know anything that will help me out?

make sure when u put it back that the RPM needle is resting right on that lil black needle holder thingy, as for the speedo #1 its either under the black needle holder thingy ORRrrrrrrrrr #2 you forgot to plug the needle back in (i did #2 before oops)

they are plugged in and above the black part. They both move they just arent accurate. Like I said, the RPMs are reading about 200 above what they should. (i.e. when I'm in 5th gear at 80mph I'm at 4500 rpms on the tack and 4100 on the VAFC; Normally the RPM gauge is about 100-200 more than the VAFC). Then the speedo is getting kind of sticky and the RPM gague wont go below 1100 or so.

Sounds like the needles are a little screwy. It happened on my civic when I put in new gauge faces

Sorry about bring up something from the dead. Did any one ever find a fix for these problems? My speedo sticks now also (after the blue conversion). It seems fine at times and not at others. It will stick at about 25mph then jump up to about 40mph and again to about 65mph. When slowing down it might stick at 40mph till I am almost at a stop then drop down. I have looked it over and don't see anywhere it might be hitting and since it doesn’t do it all the time I am not sure where to look. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I believe i know why. Did you guys check to see if (while the gauges are out and you have the cover off, move the needles yourself and see if they stick at all. It's not a problem with the needles or the gauges themselves. What it is is that when you put the film behind the gauges, it made it stick up in areas (very slightly) where the needle now gets stuck. You have to cut them so that they don't do it anymore.

There is a lot of clearance between the needle and the face. I checked and there is no chance it is hitting that. The needle moves freely by hand up to and past 140mph, then let go and it stops or slows down at different locations on its way back to 0mph. It isn't the same spot every time and it is not everytime. Thanks.
