As i am sure you all know, when you turn on your headlights.. your gas and clock gauges dim alot.. and i was wondering if anyone knew how to make it so they didn't dim when I turned the headlights on.. thanks.

i have alittle wheel dimmer right next to my cruise control button, not on the wheel but by the sunroof button. if you turn that the whole way up it makes everything brighter except the clock. the gass and temp gauge on mine get as bright as they normaly are.

I don't know about you all but I just turn the adjuster (next to my sunroof button) up if I want it to stay as bright.

Why do you want the clock to be bright anyway? Seems distracting to me.

You would have to run a relay from your parking lights to your coil of the relay and the on the switch side of the relay you would split the illuminumation wire on the clock so when you turn your lights on the clock will not see the signal to dim. don't quote me on this, it may reduce the voltage, but i highly doubt that. If it does reduce voltages just cut the power to the clock and run a 12v constant to it?

Or... just run a wire from the dimmer wheel's full bright circuit to the dimmer pin of the clock...

I have actually looked at the schematic in the helms, its really easy to do, I just havn't done it yet.
1 wire total.

Weird, your clock shouldn't dim even if you turn the dimmer down. It's connected to the clock/radio circuit, not the dash lights.

Do you drive with your lights on during the day? If you don't, then where does the glare come from at night?
