Gas mileage

Hey Guys im getting about 450km to a tank of 91 octane gas... i think its pretty low from other figures ive heard from ppl...

I just have a question... My cap and rotor are pretty old on my car. Could that contribute to my really bad gas mileage?

I get pretty bad MPG as well, and I use Shell V-Power.

i use the shell vpower. the motor seems to be running smoother but gas mileage on the interstate is only 30 mpg and daily driving ranges anywhere from 24-28mpg

i also have hesitation right at 3,000 rpm every once in a while. im going to adjust the valves tonight and see what that does.

oh, i ran 87 octane for a while, and barely got 24mpg with GOOD driving, but i can manage 28 with vpower with the same driving.

A) You should be using 91 octane MINIMUM
B) 30mpg is great for a prelude so stop complaining Remember, according to Honda it is supposed to get 22 city, 26 highway.

I was getting 22-23 mpg until recently when I made a few changes. Now I'm getting about 25mpg in the city

but remember, you have an S, less output than the other two engines, so it consumes less gas than the H23a1 and the H22a*.

i recently just recorded how much gas i got in one full tank. i was pretty close to empty. 352, so that translates to about 22.14 mpg. i was hoping i would get more since i drive on the highways a lot. but then again, im usually at a constant 4rpm, if that makes any difference.

15.9 tank capacity, but it'll be very hard to use all 15.9. There's at least one thread about that in particular, and someone drove their lude dry with someone trailing them, I think he said when he filled the tank after he didn't end up pumping 15.9 into the tank. For a while I flirted with 'E' just to see how many miles I could squeeze out of one tank, I always folded early thinking I'd gone too far lol. I think the most I'd ever ended up filling was +-14 gallons
