I think I've gone about 50 miles with the light on before stopping. This was a dire circumstance and I would never do it normaly. . .running on a really low tank can get some of the nasty grunge on the bottom of the tank into the fuel system.

I've driven till there was 1 bar left. I'm not sure how long I had but I went to a gas station as soon as I saw it.

Probably about 20 miles with no bars. A gas gauge works with a thing that floats in the tank. It will read empty when there is still gas in the tank and for the same reason it will stay on full for a bit if you top off.

Anyone nottice how "sneaky" our gas meter is. Like on other cars they light goes on right away, really fast.

On ours (well mine atleast) it comes on slow..like dim, less dim then bright All sneaky like..and when it dissapears for awhile like if u are on a downward hill...it slowly dissapears hehehe

Yup, noticed that. . .what a sneaky bastard!! Also, it seems to take forever for the first bars to disappear, but then then they go more quickly. ..

I've gone 40 miles with no bars, easy...

Ever seen that episode of Seinfeld? Yeah, thats me man... Gotta push it to the limit!

I've also noticed that when I redline the car in every gear, the Prelude must not like that cuz he takes away a bar on the gas gauge

i remember reading somewhere that the liht is sneaky like that because the lower it gets the faster it blinks but when the light first starts it's "glowing" u have 60-100 miles left.

. . . . . . . . . . ...

Yeah, when the light comes on you can drive a long way.. I don't want to find out just how far tho!!

I've run as low as no squares for about 15KM's.. I was nervous!
