gas door - Honda Prelude Forum

I brought my car to a garage, an coincidentally now when I pull the gas door release, the door doesn’t eject. So I have to ask my gf to pull the gas door handle and I have to wait at the door and stick my fingers in between to pull the door open. It’s not the cable I know since the pin goes in and out but I never really inspected the gas door in details so maybe it’s some sort of spring or coil that makes the door pop open. Does anyone knows or can show pic of it? What makes the door pop open?

there's 2 little rubber pieces that you could replace and you can also bend the piece of metal (the spring part) to help it. mine did this and i stuck my key under the lever when i pulled it up. worked every time.

I do the same thing. I just shove whatever I can find under the lever and pull the door open. I have no idea how to fix it, although I think I saw something on eBay for it the other day.
