Just access the antenna motor in the trunk and unplug the antenna motor. That's what I did and I still get okay radio reception.

remove the paneling on the passenger side in the trunk. You can just pull back part of it to access it. Logically, it should be right under the antenna

if you've never done it, by the tail lights on the right side (facing trunk) pull the plastic/carpet cover forward from the tail light and then pull the piece going on the side towards you as well, look inside and you should see a plug just below the power antenna, reach in, unplug and your done.

another great way to deal with this is what i did. i made a switch and wired to the antenna. i got so sick of it going up and down every time i changed cds. so i now have a switch, hidden of course, so that i can roll with the antenna down if i want, and change cds all i want. like mcdys, im lovin it

You can splice a switch or just cut the antenna wire. Here's the wiring diagrams for the stock radio:

i dont have pics but i will take some for you. as for the wires, i ran them through the center console, and i mounted the switch in the ashtray at the back of the console.(kevs idea) so all you have to do is open the ashtray, and there is a toggle swith in there that puts the antenna up or down. there are just two wires, very very easy, even for the wiring impaired...
