Funny story, I guess.... - Honda Prelude Forum

This story is somewhat related to 4th gens, so I'll post it here..... Anyways...

So last saturday night I goto the local street races.... Yes I only go to watch never race, lotta cars out, a few nice ones, mostly sunfires civics and neons.... but anyways.... A few races that night, till the cops show up everyone runs.... No biggie, until this guy decides to bail out of the parking lot at 50kmph+ and barrels into this sunfire with 4 chics inside.... totally not their fault.... no real injurys just wrote off cars. Anyways everyone meets up at a local gas station, alotta cars just sittin ther, everyone talkin....

This lowered 4th gen, z3 fenders, type s wing off a 5gen i think, some blitz style front bumper, bw rear, can't remember the rims... Anyways it didn't look TOO Bad but semi riced out.... Anyways all the local boys are going ooooooh **** hah niicee thats tight blah blah..

Anyways me being the curios 4th owner wanted to know what this guys got under the hood not knowing if this guys a ricer or knows what hes talkin about, I go walk past the car and take a peek inside.... 6500 says the tach... I go ahh

So anyways everyone decides to go meet up at this place and go race, everyone drives ther, a few races happen, and this guy tells me that I should race this other 4th gen thats here, im like wher, and its the 4th gen lude from before. Hes like man its automatic, hes got rims stero blah blah blah, I said whatever I dont' race here, but I decide to go find out about this guys car...

"Hey man hows it goin?"

"Not bad"

"Whats this a H23?"

"No, its a prelude"

"No no man I was asking the block number"

He gives me kind of a dumbfound look

"So its an SR then?"

"No an SR-V"

"ooh ooh right ok"

And I walk away and hang my head in shame....

Apparently this guy didn't know that SR-Vs only came in manual transmission.

btw for you americans SR-V is vtec model

good story... dont worry about it though, people are dumb. Im sure he was just trying to make himself seem cooler than he is.

I hate it when people dont know jack about there car and then proceed to tell you how fast it is...like this guy I go to school with insists that his geo metro can beat my car just because he can peel out...btw he has 13's, probably the only reason he can peel out.

ugh, makes me wish i had asked this guy at school what engine his white 4th gen had cuz he had a VTEC sticker on the back... meh
