funny idle after intake installed

i just bought a used AEM SRI from a fellow PO member, finally installed yesterday, and got one problem

the pipe only has 1 port while i have 2 vaccum lines connected to the stock intake, so i just plugged the small one, CEL didn't come on, but idle's acting funny ever since, i am thinking now maybe i shouldn't plug it, should i just put a breathe filter (is that what you call?) on?

anyone has the same problem with me?

IIRC, only one needs to go to the pipe; the other two nipples are usually connected with a "U" shaped piece of tube...

I'm not sure which ones you "jump" without looking. try doing a search for intake installs...

I know some of the vaccum lines have to be closed up.

I did the same thing.
You should have the valve cover line going to the intake connection and the small line that comes off of the starting air valve needs to be left uncapped. AEM supplies a small foam filter that you cover this line with just to keep dirt out. Bottom line, find something to cover that line to keep dirt out but that will still let it breath.
Your engine will run fine once you uncap that line.

you guys probably going to laugh, i went to kragen during my lunch hour today and the only thing i found fit was a fuel filter, so i tapped it up anyway, and hey...at least the idle's stable now
