fully built si/vtec vs. si-turbo.....(opinions)

after my body work is done, my engine will be focused on. i just got a 5-speed tranny and i want to do one or the other.

1) get a vtec head and slap it on my si block. then build up the motor and make it run better/stronger. and do bolt ons and maybe a 75 shot.

2) i could do a little build up to hold boost on my motor and slap on a nice turbo. and build my car around that.

if u were in my position, what would u do?? i dont want a full swap. i dunno why i have a shop that can do a si/vtec with no problems at all. of course, i have always loved the way a turbo looks/sounds. any opinions??
thanx.

boost because of the fact that the si/vtec conversion is pretty sketchy.

If anything I would be comparing a fully built h22 vs a si turbo. The h23block and h22 head isn't the greatest combo. Either way you will get more hp out of the turbo.

Any h series tranny except for the 5th gen sh tranny. The best tranny to get is the one that is supposed to go with your motor.

You'd wanna get the right tranny for your block tough. An h23 with an h22 tranny would have very bad gearing. Only exception is a Turbo h22 (low-mid end power) work well with an h23 tranny.
