Fuel and temp guages do not illuminate 4th Gen

Hi!
I have recently bought another Prelude (1991) and the Fuel and Temperature gauges do not illuminate. It is low mileage 49K. I was going to buy another set of sub gauges to replace, however, all of the other dash lights and the clock function. Anyone else experienced this problem and if so what is the fix?
Thanks
Krewz

Yup JDM 'J' registration! 2.2 VTEC
I also have a UK spec 94 2.3 94 'M' reg

So, has anyone experienced this problem and got a fix?

A 91 would actually be a 3rd generation car.

my gas / temp gauge sometimes went on and sometimes dont... until i replace the gauge

i open it and it have like 2 dark (brown i think) stains...

i heard that ppl could fix them... but i got no idea... ppl with high knowledge of circuit boards i think...

the clock and all the lights are different circuits... but if you will be buying it again you will find the whole gauge
