Fuel gas and Temp gauge replacements? - Honda Prelude Forum

Hey guys 1st post Ive been working working on my 94 si the gas and fuel gauge board started smoking and died. So im trying to put a generic fuel gauge in and I cant figure out what type (240ohm) or what. I need some suggestions. Ive already found which are the send wire coming from the dash so i just need to figure out what cheap gauge to buy? Please any help is better than nothing!

I would also like to know if there are any reasonable aftermarket options without breaking the bank...

I know you can buy a new cluster for around 50 bucks, but then it's just a matter of time before it happens again...

we must love our preludes soo much to buy that repair kit... holy crap...

I might just stock on a few when i go to the junkyards...

If your temp gauge burned out, take it apart and take some pics of the board. I wanna know what burns out on them. Could be a simple fix.

Mine blew up on me. I took it apart and see no burned of melt or anything like that. I even changed the small black box right next to gas/temp cluster, still no luck. Just the board itself dead. Nothing work so I got another one.
