Fuel Coolers...Anyone every try using one?

hey guys, i'm just looking into the possiblity of installing a fuel cooler, i heard from an old racer that they used to use em and that they add a few hp, nothing too much, but they help the engine run smoother...wasn't sure how true it was for today's imports so i figured i'd post it on up for your review

It's worthless.

In the old days of low-pressure fuel systems and carbs, they had to cool the fuel lines by routing the lines into a coffee can full of dry ice. If the fuel got too hot while in the lines, it turned to vapor and caused what was called "vapor lock".

Nowadays, high pressure fuel systems and fuel injection prevent this from happening, so there is no need to cool down the fuel.
