fuel

i am starting my first serious build but i need some help on the fuel part and just need some basic input from the pros! plz lmk

so far ive got a jdm h23a non vtec (same thing as the h23a1 just a lil more power stock)
its got a short ram intake
dc header and downpipe
custom 2.5 in exhaust
crower stage 1 camshafts

my friend has some DSM 450cc injectors for cheap that i want to get
i was going to upgrade the fuel pump to the walbro 225 and get a aem fuel rail and a tune on chrome.

anyone got some input on this for me?
anyone know about how much i should be puttin down?

(before i get flamed with "h23s are weak for n/a ,get a h22" i am planning on boosting in the future thats why i chose the h23 platform and my h23a has never lost to a h22 anyway.... :P)

l7You don't need those injectors until you boost.

With those current mods, you might be pushing 140ish - 150ish whp. Why not just go to a dyno?

Also, I don't know what h22's you've run, but most should beat you with those mods and untuned.

edit:

have you done any research? you know the AEM fuel rail does nothing even with higher hp turbo setups right?

"You don't need those injectors until you boost."

Understood, the stock injectors will do for now then

idk i found this guys cardomain page and he has less stuff then i do and he made 165 whp with just an intake and the crower stage cams without a tune. he also disabled the aib which i dont think was a good idea..also i would just go to a dyno to check but i live in a crappy little town and theres like one tune shop around here and they charge a fortune and a half for a dyno run.

i know its wierd... i used to have a 5th gen while i put my 4th gen away to sleep for a bit and for some reason my 4th gen would always walk on it! i always thought my 5th gen just had some problems or something but then i started driving my 4th gen again and i raced another 5th gen (manual also) and walked on it by a car or 2 and that was without the camshafts.....i guess the jdm version of the h23a1 just has more balls or something.

didnt know...guess i dont need it then, just saves me more money lol..

im assuming all im gonna need then when i get the turbo setup is:

turbo, turbo manifold, downpipe, oil lines etc etc
fuel pump and the injectors to compensate for the increased air/fuel mixture and a tune correct?

btw what ecu do you suggest tuning on, ive heared the gsr ecu is the best because of the ability to keep the aib function.

--thanks for your input.

All dynos vary and can read differently with the same car / settings.

A dyno is a tuning tool, not an absolute.

You will need alot of items for a turbo build, if you have never done one before, I suggest doing heavy reading in the forced induction section. You probably just want to go hondata or neptune, something you pay for and not a free tune ecu. P72 is probably the best but you'll probably never find one or find a faked one. Might as well just get a p28 or something similar.

Yeah im getting a cheap manifold and downpipe off of someone and my boy has like a billion t3/t4 turbo's just laying around so i was just going to buy one off of him. and as for the oil lines i found some kits online that come with everything. gonna get the tubing, bov and fmi ordered online also. I found some air/fuel ratio, oil pressure, psi gauges online for pretty cheap too. im gonna get the dsm 450cc injectors and the walbro fuel pump and as for the ecu i think im gonna take your word and go with the hondata on that. other than that am i missing something?
