interesting notion. because i have a jdm front bumper (not on the car)

i wonder if the tabs are different for the front license plate? cause the usdm ones are not as wide.

i might have to check that. but i don't think you can get away with not drilling unless you use some good double sided tape

poop. i see some relocation kits on ebay for 97-01 preludes and other cars...but none for the bb4's. i wouldn't mind drilling to install one of those...but i don't want to drill right into the front of the bumper.

looking to do something like this:

To do that you have to make a custom bracket or use one of those ebay ones and drill into the bumper. You can drill into the grill area so you don't see it. Problem is with a 4th gen prelude you can only relocate the plate so far over. You'll block the jdm/oem foglights if you have them. Any further over and you'll block your turn signals.

Hmm...I don't have fogs at the moment and I suppose covering part of the turn signals wouldn't be much of a problem. Are there stock brackets for mounting it in the center? I know my Civic came with one, but I removed it. I may try placing that on my Prelude.

^yes there are oem brackets. if you look under the bumper, you will see it. you need the oem license plate and the two metal clips.
