front air vent not working

I have a problem with my front two air vents not working but my side ones are. I was wondering if there was some common problem with it?

I think it's common. I have resoldered my board before and they worked better than before, but they only work half the time. I may have to work on it again.

Yeah I have this problem too. I thought my AC was broke but it was just the control unit so I put in a used one and the AC switch worked but the vent switching doesn't work half the time.

In the month I've had mine, I've discovered sometiems if you switch around the modes and then try and front vent setting eventually it'll give in and finally come out. The second setting to the right seems to pull that trick for me, but not say from defrost to front, or floor to front, whatever. I assume I have the same problem (solder points bad) but I have not enough guts to fix it.

I was scared too, but it's ridiculously easy..
Just remember, when you have it all apart, you have to take out the lightbulbs on the bottom, otherwise the circuitry won't slide out..
Seriously, it's cake, and I'm nowhere NEAR a master solderer.. that was one of my first projects.

I used to hit the console as well ... and then burnt out some lights... then i learnt that if i took out the climate control and re-soldered all the points where the plug goes into it, it fixes the issue ....

i made a faq on it, do a search for yohan420 and climate control.

Wow, mine do not work either and I thought that this was just because my car was crazy. Nice to know that this seems to be a common problem. Now I feel much better.
