Welcome to Cali. Prepare to be very frustrated if you actually want to go faster with ease of going back to stock for smog. A CAI and catback will do something but not very much. You could put in cams if they will pass smog but they also don't do very much on the street. Type-S cams are not that different from Type SH cams but will offer a marginal improvement. Cams are a little more involved though. There are a couple of good grinds out there for H22A's that aren't full race. They should be listed in the NA performance section.
Unless you want to go FI and play that ridiculous smog-illegal game in Cali, not to mention rebuild your FRM-linered block to handle the boost you won't notice much difference from stock. All of these things together will offer a modest improvement you can notice but just keep in mind that it will be a small gain over the stock 200hp.
K&N drop-in filters are legal. Any intake like an Injen that has a CARB EO number is legal. Don't bother with DC headers or any smog legal header-- they don't flow any better than stock. A custom (and very expensive) Hytech or SMSP header will make some power over stock but they will absolutely fail visual inspection unless you swap back to stock. A Mugen header will also add some power but similarly will also not pass visual.
Take your choice of a catback exhaust. I'd just stay away from an extremely large diameter piping since you are NA.
...I don't know what possessed me to offer you all this information but I guess I was feeling generous despite your extremely bellicose attitude in a thread I wrote nine f**king years ago regarding a project I abandoned within a year of writing about it.
Perhaps you, like me apparently, would also like a three-tiered wing to go with your smog-legal bolt-ons.
