Free Mods DIY

I already did a search for this but on hp.com (when it was up) there was a guy by the name of Brady, and he had this webpage with a bunch of free mods you could do to the h23a. i now have a JDM h22a and i'm looking for that link or anyinput if those mods work. some included EGR mod, coolant bypass, and some other stuff i cant think of off the top of my head.

I have my timing advanced some. I don't notice any difference with the intake runner one.

I did coolant bypass, ignition advance, valve cover thingy, and maybe another, i dont reember. I also lost about 100lbs of other stuff. Made a very noticable difference. Im gonna take it to the track next time its not raining just to see.

i did them all and found out that i didnt like the intake runner one, and i only do the coolant bypass mod at the track because it messes up your idle. Id do the EGR one but it seems like a lot of work.

so far it sounds like advancing the timeing is the only one that wont mess up your idle

I advanced my timing by about 2 degrees, and I can feel a little extra pull. I havent tried any other of the mods.

I haven't noticed any difference in my fuel economy! I like the little pull that I do notice.

You can advance the timing with the Distributor. I know it doesn't work on all Preludes and I am drawing a blanks as to which one. I know some people that had theirs advanced to 19 but I have mine set at 17.

FPR mode gives you a bit more power top end, and it probably comes sooner than ususal. Low end, it'll be louder (all 8 runners will be open), and there's a minimal power loss.

It's good for the track but not for every day driving.
