Frankinstein SWAP???

has anyone ever done a frankinstein with a 2.3 SI body block and a 2.2 VTEC head work???Is it reliable and safe? Do you feel any difference? Does the VTEC funtion normally??? Will it fit? and how much is for just the VTEC brain?

there is a guy on hondaprelude.com that just dyno'd over 520whp with the frankenstein turbo'd. i wonder how long it's going to last?

hmm seems hard to believe. There was a guy on hs.com that claimed to have a 12 second timeslip and it was another guys 13 second timeslip photoshopped.

yea, vn-tec photoshopping xes's slip was pretty widely known about. this guy has his dyno sheet though, check it out on the msgboards over there, i think it was on the tech board.

i did it last summer... car runs absolutely fine and smooth.. only problem is i cant figure out why the redline is still at 6400 rather than 7400.. yes i replaced the ecu to a vtec one from honda brand new but its still doing it... however like i said it runs beautifully other than that and im using it as a daily driver cause im now caught up in a new project with my 99 civic si... you can look at more details about the h23 vtec frankenstein with pics on my site if you like... good luck.
