Found a little hole...

in my exhaust I was underneath my car spraying wd40 on some suspension bolts for tomorrows big install and noticed carbon deposit by the flange, and i was like "wtf is that" so i searched and there is a pinhole on the flange weld... Im wondering what my options are, I'm pretty sure i can send it back to thermal since ive only had it for a few months and get a new axle back piece, but can a local muffler shop close up that hole?

If you are like me there is an easy fix or you can do the hard thing and send it back. Just short of fixing everything with duct tape you can get a product called JB weld. It is a putty that gets pretty stiff! Should do the trick. Where did you have it installed? You might take it there and they can weld some stuff over the hole. I think you can pick up the JB Weld at any auto store!

I installed it myself, and yeah JB weld was the first thing that popped into my head, that is probably what ill use for a short term fix anyways.

Was it a catback? or did you weld the muffler on? I have known people to swear by the JB weld!

I haven't had very good results with the JB Weld in the past. Maybe the holes in my old exhausts were larger but I would just spend the money to have a muffler shop spot weld it rather than spend the money on the JB Weld.

its cat back exhaust, and the hole is no bigger than a pencil tip... My friend has some JB weld so im gonna give it a whirl, and if it doesnt work im gonna probably just get a new axle back piece.
