foot is on the brake but car slowly still moves up...why?

i dont know why..but....every time i stop at a light or something...and my foot is on the brakes..for some reason my car slowly keeps on moving forward slowly until i push the brakes all the way to the floor to keep it from moving anymore...any solutions would be helpful.

This happens on my dads 98' Blazer as well..he took it to the shop and they said nothing was wrong with it...but who knows.

first check ur fluid level, ok?
check the wear on the pads, ok?
go have the system pressure checked,

i dont know what else... im not an expert on brakes, but these are bassics

Check your brakes. They should still work well enough that you shouldn't have to depress the padal that much to keep the car from rolling forward. BTW I hope your car is an automatic.

If your a Prelude is indeed an automatic, then you might want to have the brake master cylinder checked out. If the seals inside the brake master cylinder is leaking internally and brake fluid is bypassing the seals then you're gonna have the condition you're describing. But make sure you are not leaking brake fluid anywhere in the brake system. Have the brake lines, hoses, calipers and/or wheel cylinders checked for leaks. If no leaks are found, chances are that the brake master cylinder is the problem. Replace the brake master cylinder and bleeding the brake system should cure your problem. By the way, if the car has rear drum brakes, make sure they are adjusted correctly.
