Good luck with that switch. It is a JDM only switch and will require a special plug and some custom wiring. Do a search on JDM Fog switch with postings by me and you will be able to read all about it. Basically, unless you are very good with wiring don't bother trying with this switch.

I think you can pick up that 6 pin from an autozone. The switch that I bought doesn't even reach so I have to extend the wiring.

I have the JDM switch wired in...And I honestly don't know how I did it really. I looked in my helms at the time which, as of right now I'm 600 miles away from...Otherwise I'd help. Just kind of guess and check I suppose? Actually don't, bad idea.

well a guy on Honda Tech started to help me.

heres are conversation. tell me if he is right.

(8:48 PM 7/10/2005) IAluder95: did you ever pop the tray and find out how to wire the fog light switch?
(8:48 AM 7/11/2005) Qveon: The 2 colored wires are the switched contacts. The middle one should be the power for the LED, black is ground for the led
(9:23 AM 7/11/2005) IAluder95: so does the black wire connect to another wire?

Well sheesh i should know. If you don't believe me then look at the diagram on page 10:

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/.../16810_01.html

Wait do you mean what wire goes to what pin on the switch?

hrrrmmm...mine does not have a white wire, but my red-stripe wires are switched. Black goes to ground.

Are you trying to use the stock wiring to make this work or are you doing your own? And what year is your car?

isn't there an additional power and ground for for the backlighting that the USDM switches don't have? Ours will light up when you press the switch down to activate the fog lights, but a "feature" they don't have that the JDMs do (from what I've been told) is that they're backlit even when the fog lights are off but the standbys or headlights are on.

I guess, I don't know though, I'm not JDM enough to sufficiently answer your question.

Orange should be the illumination (dash lights) for our cars. At least it is on my stereo to dim my face.
mine is a 93 so my switches are not backlit. I don't have a white wire.

Cuz that's how the factory wiring is setup. Fogs only turn on when headlights are on... Hence some people make their own button and wiring to be-able to have the fogs turn on and off as they please.
