OK, the fog lights should be here early next week but right now i'm just doing my homework so i can slap them in when they get here....
I have found the 4 pin brown connecter where you hook up the relay, thats no problem. I think i've found the connector behind the drivers side blinker tthat is there for the fogs.
Now where is the 6 pin white connector that hooks to the switch? I have a 93 so i'm guessing behind the tweeter but i cant find anything back there. Here's where it is on 94+

Its back there, just pull the tweeter cover off and dig around the harness. Mine was taped to the back side, was right in front of my face but I missed it because I didnt feel on the back side of the harness.
it took me a while to dig the connector out of there, but i eventually found it by looking under the dash. i was able to get it untaped from where it was held and snaked it up to where i could reach it from the tweeter hole.
I used a paperclip as a switch
oh, the fun part is cutting the plastic pieces off of your bumper to get the lights on
ok, now answer me this... i have a 94-96 dassh harness since i installed an EL cluster from a 94-96... which means i no longer have the 93 harness in there....
i THINK i found the green 6 pin connector you guys are talking about on the 93 harness that i have here in the floor (red/yellow, orange, red/green, black, red/black, red) so now my question is does that 6 pin white harness from the 94 connect directly to the dash harness or is it routed elsewhere and attached to another harness (i'm guessing the latter).... in which case what in god's name do i do now, haha?

Actually, I think it's more fun to find all the friggin' bolts to remove to get the bumper off....
bah, only 6 nuts and bolts and 4 screws
as for your harness... since it goes to the center console, it should be routed differently than the 92 - 93 ones. since you changed all the wiring because of the EL cluster, then you're the only one who might have a slight indication as to where it may be
i've got the wiring diagrams for the fog relay and the fog switch in front of me and most of it makes sense, still a thing or two to figure out... BUT what would really help is if someone with a 94-96 could find that white connector in the center console and follow the wires back to see where they go.
If it didnt have all these extra features like illumination of hte button and having to make sure the lights are on first then i could rewire this myself, but as of now i'm still a little confused as to how i'm gonna make it work..

ok, i studied the wiring diagrams a little more and spent a second with my roommate (Comp. Eng.) and i believe i have it figured out. I should just be able to cut the red/yellow wires (pins 2 and 4) from the fog light relay and run them to any power circuit that i want with a switch in line. This would allow me to turn the fogs on with whatever switch i wanted (including factory if i want) and it will also allow me to switch the fogs on without the headlights or parking lights having to be on.
OK well i seem to have figured out what i need, thanks for the help guys! If anyone is in a similar situation or needs some help with their wiring on the fogs i think i can probably help you now so feel free to email me or PM me.
Now i just need the fogs to get here so i can test my theory

Sorry to butt in , which wires on the switch harness did you jump? I wired my setup and I think my switch is at fault. i don't hear my relay clicking.
I used a 5 pole SPDT relay:
#30 - direct power(battery) - blu/red wire
#87 - output power(power to the bulbs) - red/grn
#85 - ground - red/yel(1 wire)
#86 - switched power - red/yel(2wires)
I believe that's the configuration. Which wires did you jump to turn on the fogs?
anybody have a link to the diagram that includes the fog switch from a 94+? I've searched hondaautomotiveparts.com forever and i can't find it. If its fairly cheap i might go that route and install it in one of the popouts of my center console (93)

He's not around much anymore, but a previous PO.co member "go pre" did this exact same thing (94 switch with 93 harness behind tweeter). Search for posts under his name, you might find it.
Originally posted by L-U-R-C-H munscher, I have the exact same issue as you. Have you figured out how to wire the new console switch?
yep, my fogs are installed and working perfectly...
i used an 01-02 civic fog light switch. it pops right into the center console cutouts, but i had to do most of the wiring myself since it wasn't there anymore. I think you can also use the fog switch from an Element (same as civic according to dealer).
If you need more exact details just let me know.
