flying spoiler-less trunk lid??

Hey guys...i have removed the stock spoiler on my car and now everytime i pop the trunk, it literally FLIES open and hits the rubber weather-stripping...is this normal?? TIA

yes, the bars located near your rear speakers that run almost the whole length of the trunk. the bars are stronger (help it pop open harder) when you have a spoiler. when you remove the spoiler the bars are set up for the extra weight of the spoiler thus popping it open much harder,

if your car came w/ a spoiler from the factory then it has the "stronger" trunk springs....just get the ones from a lude that did not come equipped w/ a spoiler.....if you want i can trade u mine, since my car did not come with a wing, but now has one

just add some extra weight to the lid, like dynamat or small weights, lol

You can move the springs to a less aggressive setting, simply take a nice long flat headed screwdriver and move the bars.

Try diff combos to see which suit you best, mine came without a spoiler and I played around and got them to adjust to a good setting.

Worth a shot imo, I think ludes with spoilers as stock did have slightly stronger ones though.
