Once again I have a 92 F22 lude. My husband and I cleaned the throttle body since the car had a very low idle when the A/C was on to the point it wanted to die. After the clean up we did on the throttle body, we started having a high idle (about 1200 r's) and a fluctuating idle sometimes. We tried cleaning the IACV, adjusting the FIV, bleeding the coolant, and checked all vacuum hoses. After all that it turned out to be the idle screw. Evidently the previous owner didn't want to fool with cleaning the throttle body when it developed a low idle, and adjusted the idle screw out to compensate. Well when we cleaned the throttle body it created the high idle and bouncy idle. Screwing the idle screw in was the definite remedy. Thanks for all the posts concerning this problem. This forum has been a huge help to us.
