Flowmaster makes some inexpensive catbacks/ axle-backs with painted aluminized steel for Civics, Integras, and the like. Haven't heard them in person.

Personally, no matter how they sound, I think it would be better to look at a stainless steel exhaust instead, or at least an exhaust with a stainless canister and ceramic-coated pipe.

I have a Flowmaster 50 series with 2.25 pipe on a small displacement engine (a 3.0 Nissan V6) and it sounds decent, although it still can sound a little buzzy. I wouldn't put a flowmaster on a small 4 cyl. At least go with a Borla muffler or axleback if you want more of the "Domestic" sound.
