Flexpipe Leak + Code 12 - Honda Prelude Forum

So these are the conditions.

Would the leak cause the lean O2? If not would a leak shorten the life span of a new O2?

I need to decide if I need to fix the leak before I fix the 02.

It could cause the lean condition. Try running some fuel sys cleaner like Chevron w/ Techron. It could be dirty injectors or a dirty fuel filter. Fuel filters are pretty cheap.
Check fuel pressure first then,
1) fuel cleaner
2) flex pipe
3) fuel filter
4) plugs
5) O2

are you saying that the code 12 is an o2 sensor?

cause code 12 is egr valve

Thanks I found the solution. You are correct that it is an EGR Code.

I cleaned the EGR Valve and it works perfectly now.

If the pressure is good, you wont need to continue looking through the fuel system. As mentioned by the helm, only change the fuel filter when the pressures are low and its _not_ the fuel pump. And i thought we all agreed that fuel cleaner was high price alcohol and gimmicky at best.
