Flashing CEL..power loss >4K - Honda Prelude Forum

'96 Si H23 ~220K...has always run great.
I had just run at high rpm's for 2 minutes so I could make my exit.
After the exit, there was power loss...then CEL...then FLASHING CEL!

Pulled over (car idled fine), turned car off and looked around but found no obvious issues/noise. Got back on the road and CEL would again flash under load/at higher rpms.

CEL was cylinder 4 misfire (P0304 I think). I cleared CEL & checked plugs, wires, distributor, oil, vacuum lines and adjusted valves. Fuel filter has ~20K.

CEL now does not come on but I still have power loss above 4K rpm in 3rd-5th gears. No power loss in 1st & 2nd. Any help is appreciated.

TTT...still have very consistent power loss at just over 4K rpm in 3rd-5th gear but not 1st & 2nd.

Anyone know how to diagnose the coil?

I tested coil and primary resistance is out of spec: 2.4 vs. 0.6-0.8 ohm
I'll replace coil and let you know if that was the fix...
