Fixing up door interrior - need help identifying parts

Hi,

Here's a picture of my door (which might help explain why I want to fix it):

The big white box is showing a zoomed in area of where the fake leather (I think) has been rubbed and now is messed up.

The lower white box shows how the carpeting stuff on the pocket is getting rubbed away and looks really bad (the picture doesn't show it, but it helps you get a context of the part).

----------------------------------

So, I've been looking on Honda Automotive Parts site and here's a picture from that:

----------------------------------

Now, I really want to get that bigger scuff on the top fixed. Do I need to order a new:

*For reference to the picture above, it's labled #39 on the chart. It doesn't look like 39 points to it in the picture though. I just figured that was it because it was the most expensive part.

111743 | LINING SUB-ASSY., L. FR. DOOR (TYPEA) | GRAPHITE BLACK

or

111742 | LINING SUB-ASSY., L. FR. DOOR (TYPEE) | GRAPHITE BLACK/EXCEL CHARCOAL

How do I know if I have graphite black or excel carcoal?

----------------------------------

If I wanted to replace the bottom scuff, is the part I would need:

*For reference to the picture above, it's labled #28.

111695 | POCKET, L. DOOR | GRAPHITE BLACK

or

111698 | POCKET, L. DOORÂ*| EXCEL CHARCOAL

----------------------------------

I'm guessing in this case I have the excel carcoal.

The speaker grill cloth is also a little junky and that would be #27 right?

----------------------------------

Okay, so if I've identified the parts correctly, this will cost me:

404.14 for the lining
083.49 for the bottom pocket
025.98 for the speaker lid
---------
513.98 total

Is there anything else I can do that would look good and be cheaper?

Thanks for any help with this!

I have a set of the main pannels. . .just the main body: no carpet section at the bottom or cloth inserts. Left over from a failed project.

Most automotive and hardware stores will carry those, just take one in to match it up.

$500 just for those materials??? If you want, try to find a set in good condition at a junkyard for $50. For even less, go to a fabric store and buy cloth like tweed and redo your interior if you like $15 for a square yard of material, 5 dollars for spray glue.

Phamine,

Nice doors! Is that what you did? I'm thinking of doing it myself too. I found someone to get me a better set of fake leather panels and I'm either enlisting stitchcraft for my center panels or doing it myself.

--any recomendations on spray glue?

Thanks!

I used 3m spray glue. it's the same spray glue you would use on clothing speaker boxes. Removing the old fabric is a hassle; some of the fabric sticks to the panels. I then use a paint stripper like BIX to remove the old adhesive. I used the old fabric as a pattern and cut the material using the same pattern.

Oh, everything is found at home depot.
