Fixing Busted Speedo

Hey guys,

I just finished fixing my posessed speedo. I went to a junk yard and picked up a new gauge cluster for $150. The only problem I had was the odometer. It turns out that the mileage in the digital odo's is stored int he cluster so I had to find a way to switch this. The odo can be taken out of the cluster, it is simply a circuit board the is under a plastic cover on the bottom of the cluster. I just unplugged my old one and popped in in the new cluster and *tada* functional speedo.

btw, if anyone needs a used '95 SI gauge cluster with balast for the EL gauges it's yours for $50. The speedo dosen't work properly though.

if they are the EL gauges the odo reading is kept on a little module in the cluster. and they are plug and play. I think that the number on the odo will be in Km's though.

Nope, the 93 cluster uses the mechanical odo so they won't swap. I swapped EL to EL because my car is a '95 si.
