First gear kinda weak

Hey guys I dunno if its just me but the Lude feels really crappy through first gear. I just figured it would pull harder than it does. The rest of them feel fine but first just seems a little too weak to me. Is there anything I can do to beef it up a little or a problem I should check?

its all stock and 89k on the engine. But I mean even as stock I feel it should pull a little more than it does. How fast are you guys goin when pushing it hard b4 you shift out of first?

For me, 2nd feels like the strongest gear, 1st definitely doesn't pull as hard as the others. I usually shift at around 3-3.5RPM, around 15mph, I think.

i do to sometimes, it pulls real hard after about 4k, but it has a nice kick even down low for normal driving.

Well as you can see i have a 5th gen! But anyhow! From what I hear is that the 4th gens have really good Throttle response and really good torque (depending on your model). But yeah, i get the same thing in first gear!

First gear pulls harder than any other gear on your car. If you think another is faster your buttdyno is off.

i guess it depends though, because if you start rolling in first gear and gun it at around 2000 rpms its gonna feel like **** until about 4500 no matter if its a vtec or an si, but if you actually launch and when you get traction are already at 4000 first gear feels real nice.
