Finally upgrading my suspension!

Well its final! Im definately upgrading and actually looking forward to the install, actually seems quite simple with the right tools! After doing some research Ive decided to go with HR sport springs and KYB AGX adjustables just like many others have done. The best deal for KYB seems to be ebay and as for the HR's im not sure yet! Can anyone suggest a dependable site that sells HR sports. Ive checked all the sponsors to know avail, and I would rather go through a shop that was recommended! Thanks all!

Talk with Nate or Chris and tell them Bill sent you. They can match any deal.

While you have the suspension apart I would suggest modifing the rear collars to prevent shock knock. I have the exact same setup as you will have and I got the knock really bad. Look for my thread on this and you will see how to do the mod. It take 5 mins and save many headaches.

Also, depending on the year of your car, be prepared to replace you bumpstops. both my front and rears were pretty muck destroyed by corrosion. They have to be replaced when the shock/strut is out of the car so it's as good a time as any.

As for camber, you will need to have the front adjusted but the rear should stay within spec.

Good luck and pic pics of the job

Hey Jason I think I have shock knock now with my stock setup, cause everytime I go over a speedbump I hear all kinds a knocking in the rear. Does that get worse with the upgrade?

Yeah it prolly will. You will loose some of the softening that the stock suspension has and the problem will increase. Like I said, look at my thread, I describe in detail how to cure this problem.

HTH,

Well I read some of your old threads and I think Im just gonna buy all new damper mounting washers, rubber, and collars for both rears. Oh and the bump stops aswell! Should that save me some potential problems? Thanx

That will solve the problem but may be overkill. If you are willing to spend the $$$ then go for it, otherwise you can just trim the collars a little.

Your right. I think I will just follow your advice and shorten both collars but certainly replace the bushings all around. Well I ordered the HR springs 155 shipped from morepowerracing.com. I think that was a pretty good deal. Still waiting on the KYB's on ebay.

I have that exact setup and I haven't had any wear issues due to camber.......and I drive 80 miles a day.

Excellent choice by the way, it will not disappoint

I paid $335 said and done but im in Canada.. (for kyb agx)

I didnt cut the bump stops and dont think I get any of the extra shock nock in the back, it was really bad last year with stock suspension butthis year its been really quiet.

although when it hit -40 one day it was wikked cold and the suspension was holy noisey ...
