nice runs...makes me excited to go to the track soon....
i am finally converting to manual this month but i have a question on my car...i will have this
jdm h22
usdm p13 ecu
5 speed swap
act clutch
fidanza flywheel
quife lsd
aem cai
greedy header
greedy sp exhaust
test pipe
dc sports short throw shift
mugen tstat
what times you think i will have? i plan to get a vafc and chipped ecu after tranny swap...i am hoping for 13s...right now with the auto tranny i have raced and beat a 93 mustang gt, 02 lexus is300 auto, 03 mustang gt just so you have an idea of what i am running now
id say youd prob get around 14.5 or 6 the auto is going to hurt you, also your p13 ecu sucks ass...my best time with my p13 was 14.6...it will also take you some time to learn to extract all u can out of your car, ill say im an excellent driver when it comes to my car, i pull 2.1 60s with 80,000 mile touring tires and an open diff on a slippery track....so id say over the past 2 years ive learned my car..ive also made prob a couple hundred runs at the track, practice is everything, and u cantprepare for it till you go out and do it, also dont get to hopeful of your times, you may get dissapponited at first...but be paitient the motors are very strong, and with practice the times will come...trust me
that 14.6 is that with the auto or manual in mind? i know a stock 03 mustang gt runs 15.1 and i beat that so i know i am close to high 14s now with the auto...well i guess there is really not way to guess because every car responds differently to different mods so i will just have to get them done and see what i run...but with that said everyone told me that with the auto h22 i would be lucky to get into the mid 15s...so there are the few exceptions i guess
Originally posted by ejectseat why p28 ecu?!? It's for a sohc motor, so what's the benefits? I read you can more top end w/ a gsr p-72, but that's a dohc vtec motor.
I don't think so.....P28 is out of a SOHC Civic, with a D16 I'm pretty sure.
Are you thinking of a P30?
sorry crack pipe...i was thinking p30... Del Sol VTEC
Civic Si/EX 92-95 US D16Z P28
Riiight...
Anyways DOHC vs. SOHC doesn't matter, the ecu doesn't know or care how many cams it has. The VTEC control will activate both. And the maps can be modifed to whatever fuel/spark is needed....

are you sure about that time for the GT? and the year of the car, low 14s to 14 flat are more correct i believe. low 15s are about correct for the 94-98 and most 87-93
