Finally! Got the fogs in

ahh yes JDM fogs. finally got em in last night. spur of the moment really. just pulled my car into the shop to make sure i had everything wired up right (simple). then i started playing around with the foglight...saw that i could take the lens cover off and drop it in from the top (by the radiator). stuck an L bracket in there, drilled from the bottom up, and voila, they're in. i'll probably have to do it all over again when i put my jdm black housings in, but for now, they look sweet. pics coming soon

I was lucky enough to get JDM fogs (yellow lenses and all) back in '00 from a JDM importer. How did you find yours? I know Thatchmaster has been looking dilligently for a set.

Did you install yours with the bumper cover on?! If so, you deserve an award for having the most flexible hands. It was a must for me to remove the front bumper cover to find the harnesses, remove the tape holding them in, and to screw the brackets into the back of the cover.

i got mine off of ebay from some guy in malaysia. i didn't pay an arm and a leg for them either. they pop up every once in a while.

and yes, i did do mine with the bumper cover still on. i took the lens cover off, turned it sideways, and dropped it in from the top. then i slid them over to the left or right. i took the blinker out to have a little more room to work from the top. i used an "L" bracket to hold the foglight to the body of the car (vertical part to hold foglight, horizontal drilled into bumper). i had to improvise a little because mine is a 92 and had nothing on the "frame" of the car to mount the foglight on that i could see.

the harnesses were actually the easiest part. they were just sitting there, blue-taped to the same loom the harnesses for the marker lights. i'll probably want to do it all over again when i do have the cover off for my headlights, but these'll do for now.

Did you not seperate the fog light from the mounting bracket and mount the bracket to the back of the bumper cover using the 4 screw holes on the bracket? The back of the bumper cover has 4 "studs" for the screws on the fog light bracket. I hope yours aren't held in by the front cover alone.

no i have them bracketed in using the holes in the back. i'm going to redo them in a few weeks though cause i have to pull the bumper to put on my jdm lights...i'll probably adjust the aim just a tad bit higher too. i honestly can't see all that much better when they're on. i can just kind of see around the sides a little better. but then when i get out and look at the pattern on the ground, it lights up the ground so much better! strange.
