I've wanted a 4G Vtec ever since I first saw one when I was 14. When I was 19 I was able to get a 89Si, and I've been driving it for the past couple of years. I came across a red 95 VTEC with 88k on the engine for $9500. The car was extremely well maintained. The Exterior/interior, even the engine bay, look as if the guy borrowed the Delorean from Doc and went back in time to 1995, picked up this car from the showroom and came back. Supposedly his wife owned the car and treated it like it was the kid they never had. She would never shift past 4000rpm. The only time he was allowed to drive it was if he was taking it to get it washed or the oil changed. He thinks that the car has only hit VTEC maybe 3 or 4 times since he purchased the car for her in late 94. He says she changed the oil every 3000 at the Honda dealership, and had the T-belt replaced at 70k last year. The only reason they're getting rid of the car is b/c she now wants a Toyota Highlander and needs the money for the down payment. He personally doesn't want to let the car go but he already has enough toys, as he puts it. Sorry for ranting on and on, but I'm picking up the car tomorrow and I can't eat or sleep without thinking about this car. I can't remember if I fed my dog and my girlfriend feels very neglected ever since I started seeing this car, lol. Well Peace Out

Anybody want to buy my Lude? (Will sell in either stock or fairly modded trim).
tell the girlfriend how much it means to you and try to make her understand but believe me when i say that most (no, not ALL) girls will never understand the bond between a guy and his car. i sure know my girlfriend has problems with it!
good luck with the car, but take everything a seller says with a grain of salt, make sure you get it checked over.
i think an awesome first upgrade would be a short shifter!

How much I love my car scares my gf, hahaha. But then again, it rubbed off enough to make her buy a silver 5th Gen, haha. Now, I have a bond w/ her car, too, b/c it's got VTEC (yummy!).

I'm running down to the mechanic with it tonight, if everything checks out, I'll be picking it up tomorrow. I pretty positive it will, the lady that owned was in love with it and all the work done on it, oil change, tune-ups, timing belt. Was all done by the dealership. We'll see though.

Well, good luck to ya! Hopefully, you'll be the proud owner of a shiny, new (conditioned) Lude.

sounds like a hell of a deal man! of course check for any rust damage and check the fluids to make sure they have been changed at correct intervals. goodluck!
btw - only hit vtec 3-4 times since 1994.. i just don't know about that. heh.
I went down to look at the car tonight with my girl and my little bro. Tonight the guy busted out all the paperwork. The Timing belt was infact changed out at 72k as well as the P.S. and compressor belts. The oil was changed about 1,500 ago. There were a bunch of other things in there too, the only one that seemed unusual was a rear passenger wheel bearing replaced at 42k. The paint was immaculate, it's been garage kept since they've owned it. Like I said earlier, appearance-wise it borders on perfection. All 4 cylinders read between 210-212p.s.i. The oil was gold in color on the dipstick. The cooling system was holding proper pressure according to the mechanic, as well. I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon. The ride home will be one of the nicest ones I've ever had. I'll let ya'll know, later.

You think your excited and can't sleep now. Just wait until you start buying mods(if you do), you'll be checking ups.com every 15 min.'s to see where your package is. I am so happy I waited for my 95 with 60k, but even now I still wish I owned it with 0k. Nice decision, and the fact that they changed the timing belt already is, well freggin amazin', thing aint supposed to go till 90k.
