Finally done with my swap, PICS!

Well here it is boys and girls, I finally got it done. All the insides are jammed and it's back together now all I have to do is the body work and then primer then paint. Check it out, it's definately slower than my h23,vtec though it doesn't pull anywhere close to it. But I also don't have my vafc tuned yet, but on the other hand I don't have my balancer belt on or my power steering belt,( just to see the difference) the power steering is definately going back on.

Thanks to scott(subex)for hanging with me that day.

hey thats a nice high quality hood stand. The wood really excentuates the engine bay. Remember it takes a little bit of time before the engine really feels good. Does it feel the same as mine? Or slower?

Hell no, man it feels real slow. But I had everything double checked at a shop and they said everything is running right. so I hope you are right when you say it takes a couple of days. I put some injector cleaner in there too just to clean out the injectors. well see.
I knew you would laugh your A$$ off when you saw my hood stand. ha ha mine hasn't come in yet.

Isn't injector cleaner a bad idea, for the most part?

he had the H23block with the H22 head. Give more torque as well as raises HP

I bet in a few weeks you should get more power when it is ran more and not sittin around

i meant with the h22a (jdm 220 hp) engine rather than the h22a4 (usdm 200hp)

Yeah it's a jdm, h22 and it's supposed to be rated at 200, Your thinking of the type s h22 ludatic, that is rated at 220. I had my vafc tuned as well as the si bottom end before so I think the big difference is in the low end, but this one feels smoother up top.

You guys wont believe what happened though, I was cleaning my garage the other day when I was finished putting my lude back together and I went to adjust something on a shelf and I heard something fall, and what do ya know it was only the 2000 dollar gallon of paint for my car. oh well I will get some more percs of the trade I'm in.

ohh crap, that sux dude.

When i get my radiator in we can plan a day to hit the canyons and test out your motor. Well after i put my header/intake back on, remove the AC and retune it.

Hows the balancer belt feeling? Can you tell its missing?

Well I didn't feel the power before it was off because I took it off before I dropped the motor, so I don't know what the power was like before, but as far as the motor running smooth, I don't feel any vibration at all, it runs great.

i got one question for you..... My swap begins tomorrow! How many hrs. was this swap for you?

Bad news for me too.. everythign on the motor look perfect, except my dented up oil pan... TPS, cover, etc etc.... I guess oil pans will need to be swapped out too!

Well I only worked on it after work for a couple of hours and two full weekends juggling in family and what not. I did alot of maintenance to it as well so that took a while also waiting for parts and what not.
I would say that if you had all the parts everything, to swap fuel rails, and a couple sensors it should take a fairly mechanical guy about three days. thats taking your time and making sure everything is right and having someone to help you. Just my opinion.

And as far as the oil pans Hmotors lays all there motors on the ground and slides them around on the oil pan so expect dented oil pans. ha ha just make sure it doesn't leak. ha ha
I'll be buying a new one shortly as well.
good luck
matt
