Finally cleaned my JDMs

Well I finally did it, I took my jdm headlights off my car and took the time to clean them. I didnt seperate them, I just used a hanger with a cloth on it (it flexed and could go all over the inside of the headlight).

Well it was definitely worth it, I had never seen so much dirt and filth on a cloth. The paper towels and rags came out completely black. I put them back on and they look 100 times better.

It took some time, but it was definitely worth it.

I'm glad it worked for you Pat. I definitely think opening the lights would have been a mistake potentially ruining your investment.

yea opening them did not look as easy as one might expect. I just dont understand why there was so much filth in there to begin with.

Very nice Pat. Glad you got them clean. You have inspired me to clean mine and leave them off the car for a couple of days just to make sure.

I stretched the hanger longwise (so the hook is at the top) then I wrapped some cloth around the opposite end and used a rubberband to keep it in place. Make sure you keep the hanger doubled up, dont cut it because it is alot sturdier and easier to work with if it isnt.

Hard to explain... but hopefully you get it.

Just a suggestion but you could try a shotgun cleaning pole with the large swap at the end to get in the corners and edges
